Mrs. Betty Helen Adams Jackson, passed away, Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at her residence. She was 70 years old.
Born December 30, 1946. She was a daughter of the late Lewis and Nell Wallace Adams. She was a member of North Cheraw Baptist Church and attended Salem Baptist Church. She retired as the Administrative Manager for McDonald Brothers Building Center. She was a Judge and Commissioner for the Racking Horse Association of America, serving as a Judge in South Carolina. She enjoyed riding and showing horses. She loved the beach. She was an avid collector of “Gone with the Wind” memorabilia. She also enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia and listening to his music.
She is survived by; her Beloved husband Roy Edward Jackson of Bennettsville, SC; her son, Ernest Lee Jackson and wife Patty of Hampton, SC; her grandson, Cole Jackson; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; her parents listed above; her brother, Lewis H. Adams, her sisters; Inez Potter and Rejean Boan.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Mike Williams. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home.
