Bennettsville, SC

  Mr. Doc Abe Walters, 62, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at his residence.
  Born Wednesday, November 10, 1948 in Bennettsville, he was a son of the late Julius and Ida Turner Walters.  Mr. Walters  served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was married to Mrs. Betty Parham Walters.  He retired from INA Bearing in Cheraw with 30 years of service.  He was a member at the Christian Fellowship Church and of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.  He enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and Admired old cars.  He loved to attend gospel singings and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
  Surviving are;  his wife of the home; a son, David Prentiss Walters of Bennettsville; a daughter, Robin Denise Daniels of Blenheim; a brother, Prentiss Geddings of Bennettsville; sisters, Effie McCall and Virginia Meggs both of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Marissa, Matthew, Anna Belle, William, David, Isabelle, Jessica, Jacob, Mary and Brandon; a special sister in law, Susan Ann Parham of Bennettsville.
  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Christian Fellowship Church, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. at the church on Thursday, October 27, 2011.  Burroughs Cooper Kiser Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Doc, you will surley be missed by many ... you will always have a spot in my heart .. we are sorry that we are not there in person but we are on the road working ... our thoughts and prayers go out too your family ... may god give them comfort and peace at this time ... you maybe gone but diffently never forgotten !!! kenneth and Donna ....
