Sherry Ann Rosser Crowley, 75, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg with her loving family members by her side.
Born April 15, 1944 in Moore County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Tony and Linda Dayvault Rosser. She received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Andrews College and her master’s from Francis Marion University. Mrs. Sherry was a retired teacher with the Marlboro County Public Schools with 28 years’ service. She married her late husband Earl Ray Crowley on September 4, 1962.
Mrs. Sherry was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where she was in the ladies’ club at the church and served on various committees. She also wrote and directed a play at the church “The Little Drummer Boy”. She enjoyed Halloween, decorating for Christmas, thrift shopping, going to the beach, and talking about the Bible. Mrs. Sherry loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Webster (Andy) of Blenheim, Jinny Tucker of Wallace, and Nancy Rogers (Ron) of Bennettsville; brothers, Robin “Tar Baby” Rosser (Laurie) of Blenheim and Butch Rosser (Gayle) of Wallace; sister, Patsy Evans of Wallace; grandchildren, David Erwin (Christy), Chad Erwin, Jason Erwin (Jordan), Daniel Freeman (Nicole), Mary Ann Knowles, Tiffany Kiick (John), Brent Rogers, Cory Odom (Michelle); great grandchildren, Tyler Erwin (Alanis), Cody Erwin, Eric Erwin, Molly Erwin, Lucas Erwin, Nathan Erwin, Piper Erwin, Jaxon Erwin, Nate Freeman, Ava Knowles, Ezra Knowles, Koah Kiick, Karsyn Kiick, Kabery Kiick, Kace Kiick, Kyler Kiick, Raylan Odom; great great grandson, Bryson Erwin; her angel and caregiver, Joann Gardner.
Mrs. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home.
