Mr. Jackie Dean Hatcher, Sr. passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at his residence in Bennettsville. He was 72 years old.
Born May 17, 1948 in Scotland County, Jackie was a son of the late Charlie and Thelma Pate Leviner. He was an Army veteran and a retired, self-employed craftsman. He enjoyed carpentry, telling jokes to make folks laugh, and loved to sing and listen to gospel music.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and adoptive parents David Sr. and Pearl Leviner Hatcher; sisters, Geraldine Donovan, Brenda Johnson, Barbara Rogers; and brothers, David Hatcher, Jr., Bobby Hatcher, Brett Hatcher, and Charles Leviner.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Mona Lisa Hatcher; sons, Brian Hatcher (Tracey) of Cheraw, Shane Hatcher (Belinda) of Patrick, Jackie Hatcher, Jr. (Jessica) of Darlington; daughters, Cynthia Hatcher Reep of Cheraw, Jacquelyn Hatcher (Jeff Ford) of Bennettsville; stepdaughter, Tammy Quick (Terry) of Cheraw; brothers, Wayne Hatcher of Laurinburg, Tommy Hatcher of Florida; sisters, JoAnn Cribb (Mitch) and Virginia Hatcher of Laurel Hill, Martha Thompson (Gene) of Mullins, Betty Jean Snuggs (Gene)_of Arkansas; stepsisters, Nola Grace Leviner Quick of Sanford, Debbie Leviner and Tammy Walden of McColl,; eighteen grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
