John Henry Norris departed this Earth on July 06, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He was 65 years old.
He was born in Marlboro County, SC to the late Betty Bettis & Dick Norris and stepfather, John & the late Bernice Barrington of Newtonville, SC. He had several brothers and sisters. He attended Marlboro County schools and served with honor in the National Guard. John Henry retired as a millwright with PPM Industries and as a highly skilled block/brick mason.
He married the absolute love of his life, Betty Faye Rogers (“Buck” as she was known to him) on September 27, 1974. Together, they had five children: sons, John Christopher (Melissa), Anthony Blease(Casey) and Tyler Shane(Danielle) Norris; daughter Kasey Lee Norris and step-daughter Amy Gwen Revis; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
John Henry loved fishing, NASCAR racing, any and all kinds of Westerns, his Chevy Silverado and his tinkering with any and everything inside his “man cave” that he built himself. He also loved and spoiled his fur buddy, Gator.
He is survived by his wife of the home; all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Glenn Grant(Becky), Charles Norris, Johnny Barrington, Gregory Leonard, Belinda(Vinny) McLaughlin and Janice(Ronnie)Cole; several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and stepmother listed above, his twin brother Mike Ziebell, and his sister Dianne L. Boulware.
A graveside service will take place at the Norris residence, 1108 Polston Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512, on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 3 pm.
Henry, I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you, and then I realized.... you spent the rest of your life with me. I smile because I know that you loved me until the day you went away, and I’ll keep loving you until the day we are together again. Rest easy my love. Love you forever, Buck
